Sherman in her home studio

Sherman studied Fine Art at the California College of the Arts before discovering the film business. She worked for 14 years designing sets as an Art Director and Production Designer for film and television and then moved to NY. There she studied at Parsons, the Art Students League and The National Academy School. She credits her teacher, master painter Sharon Sprung for inspiring her to paint portraits.

Sherman’s process begins with photographing her subject. She sees the sitter as art and strives to capture their unique essence - always with a twist.

She splits her time between Los Angles and New York City. For inquiries about commissions, please use contact below
